Nutrition & Diet Counseling
Clinical nutrition is the cornerstone of naturopathic medicine. It refers to both the practice of using food to maintain health and the therapeutic use of food to treat illness. Dr. Bove utilizes a blood-type specific approach in helping his patients choose an optimal diet that supports their genetic & biochemical uniqueness. Dr. Bove is a Fellow of the Institute For Human Individuality, an institute that fosters research into the expanding area of human nutrigenomics. The science of nutrigenomics seeks to provide a molecular understanding for how common dietary chemicals affect health by altering the expression or structure of an individual’s genetic makeup.

Integrative Cancer Care
Dr. Bove has done advanced training in a system of integrative cancer care called the Eclectic Triphasic Medical System. The Eclectic Triphasic Medical System (ETMS) is an integrative and wholistic approach to significantly improving quality of life and lifespan of the individual with cancer. The ETMS model integrates the best of traditional and modern medical systems while employing herbal medicine as the primary treatment modality. Innovative diagnostic testing (such as tumor sensitivity testing) is utilized to assess which cancer therapies will be most efficacious for the individual.  A treatment plan is developed that guides the use, and timing, of both conventional & botanical interventions with the focus on building the individual’s vital response to the cancer while directly treating its effects.  Botanical medicine, acupuncture & nutritional therapies are offered to help mitigate the side effects of chemotherapy, surgery & radiation. For a more in-depth discussion of the ETMS approach follow this link to the Mederi Foundation.

Detoxification Programs
The toxic burden of our environment is rising dramatically making everyone more susceptible to toxic overload symptoms, which may be the result of heavy metal accumulation; pesticides & organic chemical exposure; hormone imbalances from eating hormone & antibiotic treated animal-products; chemical & toxin burden present in air and water supplies. Dr. Bove uses a variety of testing methods to determine the overall toxic body burden. He may use certain chelators, botanical medicines and nutraceuticals to help lessen a toxic body burden. The program also includes therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, sauna therapy and ancillary techniques to help the body detox in a safe and effective manner.
